Produced by The Shift Network

Welcome to the Summer of Peace 2012,
a global celebration of and call to action for inner and outer Peace.

The goal of the Summer of Peace 2012 is to activate the largest global commitment to Peace in one season in the history of humankind and with your help, this is possible! Together, we will mobilize grassroots participation of people worldwide to accelerate humanity’s shift to a culture of Peace.

The Summer of Peace 2012 is produced by The Shift Network in partnership with The Culture of Peace Initiative, Pathways to Peace, The Peace Alliance, The Global Peace Initiative of Women, International Cities of Peace, and potentially hundreds of organizations worldwide interested in making the global shift to a culture of peace.

The Summer of Peace 2012, June 22 – September 21 (the International Day of Peace), will include:

  • A global celebration of what’s working in peacebuilding – featuring media campaigns, online actions, conferences, music concerts, film festivals and grassroots activities.
  • A forum for highlighting the vast array of peacebuilding initiatives that are emerging across multiple sectors of society – health, education, business, science, spirituality, environment, music, military, politics and more!
  • An opportunity to demonstrate that this universal desire for Peace is emerging in all countries, all ages, all races.

Together, we are shifting the world from a culture of violence to a culture of Peace.  Join us by signing up on our contact page so we can stay connected and keep you informed as the Summer of Peace 2012 develops.
